LINC Home Study

The LINC Home Study Program provides a formal online language training to those newcomers who would benefit from working with an English instructor one-one-one or to those newcomers who are unable to participate in other formal language trainings due to shift work, child care, or other constrains.

In this program, the class time is negotiated between the learner and instructor based on mutual availability for 30 minutes per week. Every week, all learners receive a homework assignment that takes at least five (5) hours to complete. Depending on learner’s progress with homework, the instructor assesses English level and provides with a CLB certificate.

The LINC Home Study Program requires a referral from an Adult Assessment and Referral Centre or from WELARC.
